Students explore the close connection between math and art by analyzing the artwork of M.C. Escher and Sol LeWitt, by learning how Pixar uses math to animate, and then by trying their hand at animating grass. Students then use their knowledge of the parabolic arc along with an open-source program in SCRATCH to design their own Straight Line Artwork in string art.
